  2. I used to have a pair just like that. I was convinced that if I tried hard enough I'd manage to squeeze my huge plates of meat into them - no such luck.
    Cheers

  6. Dude, you always have the coolest photo ideas. (And yes, I just called you "dude.") Fantastic photo, as usual. I bow down to your brilliance.

  9. Dang it! My woordenboek won't give me the proper spelling for "klompen." You tell me - am I even close?

  12. Ah, reminds me of the town where I grew up, all tulips and windmills and wooden shoes ;). Beautiful!

  13. I love clogs. I'd never wear them, but they're so fun artistically and decoratively. I got my mom some of those slipper clogs last year and she loves them.

  21. Great shot! I wonder if they're comfortable?

    Happy WW!

  22. They look so pretty but I can't imagine they are very comfortable. I have go to the Netherlands, see tulips and windmills, buy clogs on list of must do while living in Germany. LOL

  23. I love it! Is it really typical?

  24. So are the wooden shoes like laderhausen (or however you spell it) do people really wear them? They look as if they'd be more comfortable without a pointed toe.

  25. When I think of The Netherlands, I think of wooden shoes!! Nice.

  26. Those are cute clogs. They would make a nice keepsake.

  27. Well... it's probably easier to get off those shoes! :)

  28. Are they really made of wood? I should think that would not be terribly comfy, but then again you'd never fear stubbing your toe in those! Also, I love the marigolds in your header!

  29. My grandma had a pair of clogs very much like those. They fit me when I was three. I wonder what happened to them...

Oddly enough, my grandma was Irish.
