yummy! I am a rare Belgian who actually likes Pindakaas or Peanut Butter....more due to Canadian influence than to Dutch influence.
Mmm now I fancy a Dutch saté with peanut sauce. Mmmmm. That brings up a lot of ideas for the weekend. Mmmm time for snacks at the beach in Scheveningen. Yes, I like it! Excellent idea for myself :)
(sorry for rambling about food but I am hungry, it's way past my lunch time and have not had a chance to eat yet. Just dug my sandwiches up out of my backpack)
It's my youngest's favorite food (okay, let's be honest: it's his ONLY food!) If you enlarge the photo of him you can see the tell-tale remnants of such delicious haute cuisine!
Peanut butter and jam... yum! Peanut butter, creamed coconut, ketjap manis, garlic made into a saty sauce... Yum too! I love the second photo. Happy WW
My kids LOVE pb and jelly sandwiches (my daughter would literally starve without them) but most of their Israeli friends think they're crazy and won't touch the stuff.
Hmm, PB with J sounds like of good. Also, I can't imagine that little one would ever get into trouble. Such a shirt for an innocent child... LOL Have a great day!
The story begins like this: A couple of years ago my husband got a crazy notion in his head that returning to school after years in the professional world might be a good idea. So he and I along with our three children left our suburban life in the U.S. and traded it for a new adventure in The Netherlands.
The saga continues like this:
A year of post graduate study was so much fun, we figured we'd stay a while longer. Working in a new field, attending new schools and living in a new city, I dare say we have settled into a rhythm in our expat lives.
This blog is the record I keep of our experiences here; good, bad and hilarious. Intended as an outlet for my expression, this is the place for me to say my something.
