I used to have a pair just like that. I was convinced that if I tried hard enough I'd manage to squeeze my huge plates of meat into them - no such luck. Cheers
I love clogs. I'd never wear them, but they're so fun artistically and decoratively. I got my mom some of those slipper clogs last year and she loves them.
They look so pretty but I can't imagine they are very comfortable. I have go to the Netherlands, see tulips and windmills, buy clogs on list of must do while living in Germany. LOL
So are the wooden shoes like laderhausen (or however you spell it) do people really wear them? They look as if they'd be more comfortable without a pointed toe.
Are they really made of wood? I should think that would not be terribly comfy, but then again you'd never fear stubbing your toe in those! Also, I love the marigolds in your header!
The story begins like this: A couple of years ago my husband got a crazy notion in his head that returning to school after years in the professional world might be a good idea. So he and I along with our three children left our suburban life in the U.S. and traded it for a new adventure in The Netherlands.
The saga continues like this:
A year of post graduate study was so much fun, we figured we'd stay a while longer. Working in a new field, attending new schools and living in a new city, I dare say we have settled into a rhythm in our expat lives.
This blog is the record I keep of our experiences here; good, bad and hilarious. Intended as an outlet for my expression, this is the place for me to say my something.
I like the shot of the clogs and also love your caption.

My grandma had a pair of clogs very much like those. They fit me when I was three. I wonder what happened to them...
ReplyDeleteOddly enough, my grandma was Irish.
I'd love to just try them on and click around in them. Very cute shoes.
