Now, I'm really jealous. I wanna drink at your work! Because that means you're buying. Right? Or you can bring a bottle (or so) to my work; we'll close the door and no one will know. Or bring it by on Fridays when everyone goes home at 12:30 and we can go to the park and drink. Either way, it'll be fun.
That's pretty cool...bring happy hour to the office instead of taking the office to happy hour. At $8 plus a glass, this would be a lot cheaper over the long haul.
Okay, pour one more glass, I'm coming over. Why is it, that that's not acceptable in my job? Huh? (but it IS at my school, wel university, they have glasses and bottles of wine with meals...) Something a Canadian friend of mine convinced me into believing that is was very "European". Right. If that makes any sense.
I wish I could drink at work on Friday afternoons, I love a good glass of wine! But I am a teacher and I think drinking would be hugely frowned upon! hehe
Wow, you make me wanna grab one wine lol! Happy WW! Oh by the way i just got back from one month away of participating the WW so these are my entries now. A Dozen Pupppies Beautiful Sunset
awwwww man! I work til you get home on Fridays!!! ; ) Sooo jealous you get to booze on the job when I work there too and am never in the know. You lucky little office lady! : P
The story begins like this: A couple of years ago my husband got a crazy notion in his head that returning to school after years in the professional world might be a good idea. So he and I along with our three children left our suburban life in the U.S. and traded it for a new adventure in The Netherlands.
The saga continues like this:
A year of post graduate study was so much fun, we figured we'd stay a while longer. Working in a new field, attending new schools and living in a new city, I dare say we have settled into a rhythm in our expat lives.
This blog is the record I keep of our experiences here; good, bad and hilarious. Intended as an outlet for my expression, this is the place for me to say my something.
I want to work with you!
ReplyDeleteeach friday? All those glasses for you. Wow, talk about coming out of the closet !

That's keeping T.G.I.F. at the place that makes you look forward to Friday. (Did that just make sense? Maybe I need one of those glasses)
ReplyDeleteI could use an office like that. Although, my weekend doesn't start until well into Saturday, sadly.

Interesting - are the glasses different or is it my eyes playing tricks on me.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to move to to Ireland later on this year - my husband has been offered a job there!
I love red Wine - but due to the Tannin, I can only smell it. It is very inetersting of the different Grapes develop, smells and tastes.
