  33. I've tried some salty licorice (in California -- courtesy of American friends of Dutch (or, to be precise, Friese (sp.?)) descent. Definitely an acquired taste! (And yeah, I prefer my licorice sweet...!)

  37. Surely it's against the laws of mand and nature to make licorice look so much like chocolate? Very pretty, but it would probably cause lasting psychological damage if I expected to taste chocolate and instead tasted licorice.

  60. I've never seen licorice in that shape. Just the string type, and it was in red or black. Never did develope a taste for it.

    I actually like black licorice. My Nany used to always have it at her house. The smell of black licorice makes me think of her.
