  37. OH, that artist has talent! Thanks for your "real" thoughts on the artistic nature of my post. I enjoyed it! After this weekend, I may make a post with the real answer, but for now I'm enjoying reading all the answers.

  38. INCREDIBLE!!!! Those eyes look like they are looking right off the paper!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Wow- the facial features look so realistic.
    Ah Italia!

    ReplyDelete
  40. That's very cool...an artist is usually so busy making art, the artist never gets to be the subject of somebody else's art. Neat-o!

    ReplyDelete
  41. That was really good! It looked like the face was coming right out of the page. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  42. WOW!! That face just JUMPS off that page! Amazing!

  43. i love watching other artists.. and this shot really captures that. i love the composition of it... it's like you're really peering over his shoulder... in almost a voyeuristic way. but that creates a great dynamic to the shot!

and thanks for stopping by em.org. yes.. it has TONS of texture on that painting... i tried to aim the lights in such a way that you could see a bit of that in the picture.. but it really is something that looks better "in person" :-)

  44. Very cool. I like the over the shoulder shot.
